This page explains MyyCat’s approach to sources and references.

The Kinds of Sources We Use

Articles on MyyCat, particularly those covering cat health and behavior, may be researched using reputable sources such as:

  • Veterinary organizations
  • Universities and veterinary schools
  • Scientific publications
  • Government or public institutions, where relevant
  • Reputable animal-care organizations

How We Use Sources

We do not claim that a source was used in an article unless it genuinely was. Where a specific source directly informs a claim in an article, we aim to link to it or name it within the article itself.

What We Don’t Do

MyyCat does not fabricate references, misattribute claims to sources that were not actually consulted, or imply a level of research that did not take place. See our Editorial Policy and How We Research & Write pages for more on our process.
