MyyCat Companion records what you enter and turns it into a simple daily overview. It does not diagnose, prescribe or replace your veterinarian.
Add your cat
Open the dashboard and create a profile. Only the name is required, and you can add more cats any time.
Log everyday care
Record meals, weigh-ins and bowl water, and set repeating tasks for grooming, litter cleaning and vet visits.
Follow the trends
Charts are drawn only from your own entries, so you can spot changes and share accurate notes with your vet.
Privacy
Where your cat’s records are kept
MyyCat Companion is built so your records never need to leave your device.
- Everything you enter, including photos, is stored locally in your browser using the browser’s own storage (IndexedDB). MyyCat does not receive, see or store your records.
- Your data does not sync automatically. A different browser, phone or computer will not show the same records.
- Clearing your browser’s site data or cookies can erase your records, and private or incognito windows usually delete them when closed.
- Anyone who uses the same browser profile on your device may be able to open your records.
- This is not encrypted medical-record storage. Please don’t enter information you would not want stored in your browser.
- Use Export my data in the dashboard’s Settings regularly to download a backup you can keep or import on another device.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Is MyyCat Companion really free?
Yes. There is no account, subscription or payment. You can use every feature without signing up.
Can I track more than one cat?
Yes. Add as many cats as you like and switch between them with the cat selector at the top of the dashboard. Each cat’s feeding, weight, water, tasks, medication records and notes are kept separately.
Will I get reminders when the page is closed?
No. Reminders appear inside the dashboard when you open it, with overdue and upcoming tasks clearly marked. Because everything runs in your browser, MyyCat Companion cannot send emails, text messages or push notifications.
How do I move my records to a new phone or computer?
Open Settings in the dashboard, choose Export my data to download a backup file, then open MyyCat Companion on the new device and use Import my data. You can merge the backup with existing records or replace them.
Does the water tracker show my cat’s total water intake?
No. It records the drinking water you measure from the bowl. Cats also get water from wet food, and bowl measurements are affected by evaporation, spills and other pets sharing the bowl, so recorded drinking water is not the same as total intake.
Can the app tell me whether my cat’s weight or growth is normal?
No. Healthy weight depends on the individual cat’s frame and body condition, so the app shows your measurements and how they change without judging them. A significant or unexplained change in weight is a good reason to talk to your veterinarian.
Does the medication planner suggest doses?
No. It is only for recording what your veterinarian has already prescribed and when you gave it. It never suggests, calculates or changes medication or doses.
